Managing Director, NSF Center for Biophotonics Science & Technology
Suzanne Papamichail serves as the Center for Biophotonics’ Managing Director and provides overall day-to-day operational, financial and administrative management for the Center’s programs and activities.
In this capacity, Ms. Papamichail provides direct support to the Center’s Director and ensures that the Center’s financial and operational directives are in full compliance with University of California and National Science Foundation regulations.
Ms. Papamichail participated with the Center at its inception in 1999 and officially became a member in 2002 when the Center was funded. She has established new financial, budgetary and account management systems that provide on time reporting to Center management, and as appropriate, to the University and National Science Foundation. In addition, she is the single point-of-contact to the NSF program officials.
Prior to joining the NSF Center for Biophotonics Science & Technology, Ms. Papamichail served as the Grants Manager and Acting Management Services Officer for the Department of Neurological Surgery, University of California, Davis Health System. Ms. Papamichail has been with the university for over 17 years and brings to this position, exceptional expertise and background in the financial and administrative management of multi-disciplinary centers.
